Research & Evaluation

When making marketing, education and outreach decisions, it is recommended that primary and secondary research be used to inform your efforts. Primary, or original research, is compiled to meet data requirements. Secondary research is compiled from analyzing existing data available through other information sources.

RBFF commissions primary research and compiles secondary research related to recreational boating and fishing and aquatic resource stewardship and works to identify other sources of information in an effort to inform our stakeholders’ decision making processes.

We welcome you to search through the many reports and links provided below. We also encourage you to share the results of your own research and evaluation to help inform others and advance our understanding of what works!

RBFF Research: Primary research commissioned by RBFF and secondary research compiled for RBFF.

RBFF Program Evaluation: Primary research commissioned by RBFF in order to evaluate its programs.
